Rachel is now currently on maternity leave. She will be taking hair bookings again from Saturday 22nd June 2019. She looks forward to returning to the floor and meeting new and existing clientele in the near future.
“I established Ravery’s Hair and Beauty Salon in Oxted, as I wanted to create a Salon for both men and women which provided professional services in a relaxed and friendly environment.
“I have been in the hairdressing industry now for over 10 years and I have seen many hairdressing fads come and go, but Aveda seem to have the balance right. They always manage to stay on trend by creating new colours, haircare and skincare products each year, whilst maintaining high environmental standards and ethical accountability.
“I love the fact that I get to come to work everyday, never quite knowing where the day will take me. Hairdressing is such a creative industry and I am passionate about making all of my clients feel a million dollars. I enjoy being part of a hard working and dedicated team of individuals, who pride themselves in going the extra mile (whether it be giving an extra long scalp massage, offering clients extra teas and/or coffees or just spending extra time on a colour service to make sure that the end result is just right) – it results in the Salon being an exciting place to work and we all get a lot of satisfaction from making our clients feel good. And it doesn’t end there....the same philosophies are replicated within our beauty department downstairs.
“Ravery’s mission is simply this: Our mission is to make every customer experience ‘Amazing’ by providing a unique and personal service to each individual, ensuring maximum satisfaction within a warm and welcoming environment. Our experienced Hair Team at Ravery’s strives to take each client on an educational journey aimed at creating natural, beautiful hair through responsibly sourced Aveda products. Our professional beauty department provides the latest in skincare enhancing treatments within a tranquil setting, whereby you can escape from the everyday stresses of life.
“We look forward to welcoming you to the Ravery’s experience soon.”
“Having more than 10 years experience in the hairdressing industry I am still extremely passionate about creating and styling hair. I love to learn about new cutting techniques and to keep at the forefront of developments in hairdressing styles and fashions. Excellent customer service is very important to me and my aim is to ensure that all my clients are happy with their service. I love working with the Aveda brand not only because their product range has something to suit everyone's hair type but the Aveda colour also leaves hair fantastically healthy and shiny. I am proud to be working as a Stylist alongside such a great team at Ravery's and I hope all my clients enjoy Ravery's client journey as much as I do!”
“I have been in the hairdressing industry now for 21 years and still have the same passion for hair as I did when I first started out.
“I began my career in a Croydon based Salon called ‘The End’. At this point in my career I felt lucky to be part of such a forward thinking Salon and quickly got to learn about hair extensions and dreads, something which came about in the 90’s and was considered to be very cutting edge. At The End I also got to experience working with brands such as KMS, Fudge and Aveda – all of which gave me a really good grounding within the hairdressing industry.
“After 10 years at ‘The End’ I moved to Headmasters where I learnt how to manage a Salon consisting of 46 team members. Headmasters encouraged my career growth making me a more professional individual as well as honing my creative ability. Headmasters made me realise what ‘The End’ lacked in professionalism and customer care and since then I have always strived to go that extra mile with all of my clients.
“Ravery’s will be a new chapter in my hairdressing career to date and I am looking forward to growing and developing as a Senior Stylist so that I can set a great example to my children and provide the best I can for them in life. I have missed working with the Aveda brand and even after 21 years I still get excited about new hair trends, inspirational colour and amazing blow drys. Headmasters was a great Salon to work for but I missed the fact that it lacked a personal touch. Ravery’s is a small business with a heart and I cant wait to be a part of it, taking the very best of my skills and knowledge from my past experiences and incorporating them into my new work life.”
“I started my hairdressing career eight years ago in The Amber Room Salon in Caterham. While there I did an apprenticeship in hairdressing achieving my NVQ Level 2 and 3. I then worked my way up to become a Stylist. It was also in the Amber room where l was introduced to Aveda. From there I moved to another Aveda salon in Purley where I furthered my skills and knowledge and became a Senior Stylist.
“I’m very passionate about Aveda colour and products. I love everything that Aveda stands for and what they believe in. The colour range is like no other on the professional colour market. All Aveda colours are custom made to each client, helping to ensure that each client receives the exact colour they are after, making it a much more personal experience.
“I enjoy building relationships up between clients and taking them on the Aveda experience. I love learning the latest techniques and trends within the hairdressing industry and love it even more when my clients want to experiment with something new. My most favourite technique at the moment would have to be balayage; a colour technique which is becoming very popular and gives a natural sun kissed look through a client”s mid-length and ends and is very low maintenance.
“I am looking forward to being a part of the Ravery”s team and furthering my knowledge and love for Aveda.”
“Hi, my name is Sara; I have been involved in the hairdressing industry for 35 years working both here and abroad (Australia and New Zealand). I am very excited to join the team at Ravery's as a senior stylist and to be working with the Aveda colouring system which gives endless creative possibilities and wonderful shine.
“I am passionate about cutting and styling hair and have kept on trend with educational courses. Together with my love of hair and clothing fashion I get a great deal of pleasure making you feel and look great.”
“I have been working with Ravery’s now for more than 3 years and in this time I have learnt a lot about the Aveda brand. I am passionate about hairdressing as I love the fact that it is such a creative industry and your own personality and style can shine through into your work. Customer service is very important to me as I like to get to know clients and build a mutually beneficial relationship whereby every customer would want to return and experience the Ravery’s way of doing things. Ultimately I want all of the clients that I look after to be comfortable in my presence, be relaxed and happy!.
“I chose to work alongside the Aveda brand because they contain a high content of organic ingredients making their products much more gentle on clients hair and scalp. My ambition is to one day open up my own hairdressing Salon.”
“Having previously worked in a college salon whilst training for my NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing, I was able to build up my hairdressing knowledge and experience, giving me great insight into the value of good customer service whereby I would try and make clients feel comfortable and relaxed. I am naturally quite a creative person and I love that hairdressing gives me the opportunity to express this side of me. I hope that one day I can open my own salon.
“The Aveda brand really interests me as it is unlike the majority of other hair and skincare brands. Aveda’s products are made from at least 97% naturally derived ingredients, and they also partner with indigenous communities around the world. I love it when Aveda brings out new products for us to try in-salon!”
“Hello, I’m Megan and I am Ravery’s new Saturday Assistant. Having never worked in a Hairdressing Salon before, I am keen to develop my interpersonal skills and build good relationships with Ravery’s clientele.
“I have always been interested in the hair and beauty industry and I am looking forward to picking up hair tips along the way. I have already learnt quite a bit about the Aveda brand (another reason why I wanted to be a part of the Ravery’s team!) I was fascinated to learn that all Aveda’s hair care and skin care products contain 100% pure plant and flower essences and that all their products are manufactured using 100% wind power – amazing! Since working for Ravery’s I have become a lot more aware about my environmental footprint on the world and I hope that by recycling more during my work day that I am helping the planet just a little bit more.
“I am really enjoying working alongside such a welcoming, friendly and professional team. My aim is to master the art of shampooing in the next few weeks so that I can thoroughly pamper all of Ravery’s clientele each Saturday!”
“As a daughter to a hairdresser, I have been around the hairdressing industry since I was a child and understand how important it is to find and keep a trusted Stylist. Due to my mother’s influence, my own hair style has always been of great importance to me, and consequently I have always been fascinated with Hair Care products from a young age. One element that really attracted me to Ravery’s was the fact that they use Aveda hair care and skin care products, as I personally admire Aveda’s own environmental ethos.
“Prior to joining Ravery’s, I have worked at most of the local hospitals on the maternity ward as a Babiface Photographer. It was a wonderful experience to work with new mums and meeting their new-born babies and I enjoyed the fast paced environment where no two days were the same.
“I’m looking forward to getting to know all the customers of Ravery’s, learning the hairdressing business in more detail and becoming an integral member of the team.”
